About the event

The CEuSYP Congress is an abbreviation for Central Europe Students and Young Professionals Congress, which is one of the biggest events of Region 8. The goal of CEuSYP is to connect students from different parts of Europe in order to exchange knowledge and experience and to enhance engineering sense and capabilities among the future leaders. The special thing about this year’s CEuSYP Congress is that EUROCON conference will be organised simultaneously, so there will be many shared activities. Meet Novi Sad

Novi Sad, often called Serbian Athens, is the second largest city of Serbia and the capital of the autonomous province of Vojvodina. One of the legends about the foundation of this city says that the merchants and craftsmen have established the settlement around the Petrovaradin fortress, which is the symbol of the city, in which they had worked but were forbidden to live.

Novi Sad is the city full of friendly people, music and great nightlife. It is the home city of EXIT, one of the biggest European music festivals. More than 50 thousand people per year have the chance to listen and see the performance of the best musicians from all over the world who are sharing their art at this festival. Novi Sad is the city where you are always welcome and which you can't visit only one time! :)

Plenary Session

Topic: Three Experiments in Innovation

By Željko Tekić

Technological innovation is critical to the survival and competitiveness of emerging and existing organizations. However, there are still many confusions about what is innovation, why, how and when it should be brought to life. In this interactive lecture, I will use three simple experiments in innovation to clarify some of confusions and to stimulate discussion about innovation and startups.

Plenary Session: Reinventing computing for a data-driven world

ByDejan Milojicic PhD FIEEE

Data explosion is not coming – it’s here, and it’s only getting bigger. The next stage of technology will need to accommodate unprecedented amounts of data-driven by 100s of billions of devices and sensors that comprise the “Internet of Things” – stretching our technology capabilities to the limit and beyond. At the same time, we’re operating in an increasingly insecure, unmanageable and risky environment – from a technology, business and societal perspective. If we don’t find a way to change today’s computing architectures, they simply won’t be able to keep up – and we won’t be able to obtain the resources needed to power and sustain them.
